El Camino Premium Auto Detail

UPDATE 10/2024 I am updating my review from a 5 to a 2. I went back today to get an express detail/cleaning. I called yesterday to ask if it would be helpful to make an appointment. Was told no, they don't take appointments and that vehicles must be dropped off in the morning after 8 am for cleaning services. I arrived at 8:30 (today), and was told no one was there/could talk to me and that I could not speak to someone until 9. I decided to leave, but then returned to see if I could just leave my vehicle and keys there. The woman at the desk said yes, and that someone would call me. At close to 10 am no one had called me. I called the shop, and after being on hold for about 15 minutes, was given two options. $55 for an express cleaning that didn't sound like much cleaning at all, maybe a quick vacuum--or a $280 detail. I asked if they match competitors because I could get a full interior detail at Sparkling Image for $159.99. I was told no. I decided to return for my car. I just checked my bank statements to confirm my 2023 price from my original 5-star review of this shop. I paid exactly $80 even for a really nice and quick cleaning, or "express detail," as the guy who helped me called. What a difference a year makes! I understand that prices have increased in all aspects of our lives but wow, the difference in offerings and service since last fall is astronomical. I won't return. Original - 10/2023 I usually take my car to Sparkling Image or Ziebart for an annual detail, but I stopped in at El Camino on a Thursday afternoon around lunchtime to see if they could get my vehicle in for an interior cleaning/express detail. They were able to get my car in right away. It took about an hour to clean my 3-row SUV. They were thorough and did an excellent job! I will never go back to Sparkling Image or Ziebart for my car cleaning needs, and look forward to coming back to El Camino. Note: I did not get a full detail, just an express. They estimated about 3 hours for a full detail and I was tight on time, but the express was fantastic for what my vehicle needed.
