I dropped my 2023 Toyota 4RUNNER off at 9am to have the exterior washed, clay barred and waxed. They had my vehicle for almost four hours. When I went to pick it up they had done a terrible job. There were water spots on areas that hadn't been wiped down after the wash. There was still dirt and bugs on the hood and front bumper. The bottom portion of the front bumper and both side steps had dried soapy water on them. My rims had water spots along with dirt that hadn't been washed off. There was dried wax caked up on the rubber strip under the windows, wax residue visibly on plastic parts and streaks from where the wax or whatever they used was not fully removed. There were areas that still had dirt and clearly not been washed at all. The gloss black exhaust tip didn't even look like it had been touched with water. When I pointed this out they said to give them a couple of hours and they would "redo" the entire vehicle. I said "ok" and asked for them to call me when it was finished. Almost three hours later I was called and returned. My vehicle clearly had not been moved much less "redone". You can tell because some of the same areas that I had pointed out were still dirty. The side steps still had dried soapy water on them. There was still wax residue on the same plastic areas of the vehicle. There were still streaks all over the vehicle where it hadn't been wiped down/off properly. The BLATANTLY OBVIOUS spots had been wiped cleaned but that was it.You could also tell the vehicle hadn't been moved by the bad job they had done on the tire dressing they had applied, the tires were still dirty on the lower portion of the tire that rests closest to the ground. The roof had horrible streaks and water spots. There was also areas on the roof that was obviously not even washed, you could see where they just allowed the soapy water to dry from the original wash. When I pointed this out I was told "wow..you're a real picky guy aren't you". "This is like a $400 detail job". The guy I spoke to had a spray bottle and rag in his hand and as I pointed out areas he would spray the vehicle and swipe it with the rag then say condescendingly "there is that better now". I had to tell him to take off his sunglasses so he could actually see what I was referring to. He was just making it worse randomly spraying and wiping. At this point some old lady and the guy that I had dropped the vehicle off with came out. They proceeded to tell me that it's not going to be perfect because my vehicle is black. They said it's hot outside and no matter what you do you will always see anywhere that you wipe on a black car. I was told that I was expecting way more than I was paying for. At this point I was over it to say the least. I had been without my vehicle for over seven hours and didn't want to argue with these people any further. I understand black vehicles are harder to clean and I am a very meticulaus person. However my vehicle is less than a year old with only 6,000 miles and because I am such a meticulous person it is in excellent condition. All they were doing was making excuses for the poor job that they had done in the first place and the fact that they didn't redo the entire vehicle like they claimed they did after the fact. There is absolutely no reason other than their poor quality of work that my vehicle should have been returned to me in the condition that it was in. At the end of the day I gave them a one star rating because at least my vehicle got washed, even if I did cost me $192.00 and I had to finish/fix the job myself. What bothers me the most is the attitude of the people at business's like these. They advertise the "quality of work" and "years in business" then treat you like your the problem when you point out they didn't deliver as advertised. They lie and make excuses rather than fix the problem. If it were their hard earned $192.00 would they be happy with that quality of work on their vehicle? The pics I'm posting are after they supposedly redid the entire vehicle. My advice, spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
