Shammy's Car Wash - North Richland Hills, TX

DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS BEFORE READING THIS!!! I have to say that it takes a lot for me to put a negative review on a business. Shammy's carwash has definitely earned that all thanks to the Manager on duty that I encountered by the name of Abel. First off I want to say I went to the Shammy's location at 5901 Davis Blvd. North Richland Hills, TX 761809 on Saturday February 22nd, 2025 at about 6:57pm. Online their times are posted incorrect but Abel the Manager doesn't care, he won't solve your problem he will make it seem like it's your fault you didn't know the correct time they closed. Absolutely horrible customer service. I will never return to this place! The carwash I usually go to had something going on with their carwash and had to shut down early. From my house it takes about 15 minutes to get to this Shammy's Car Wash, so it's not close for a carwash but I saw on Apple Maps that they closed at 8pm, so I went. When I got to the location I noticed that there were cones blocking the entry path, so I parked in a vacuum stall and got out to ask an employee if I could drive through. The employee stated to me that they closed at 7pm. Mind you at this point it's about 6:57pm, but I pulled out my phone and showed him that Maps is stating that they close at 8pm. He apologized and went and spoke to the Manager on duty who was blowing the debris out of the carwash tunnel with a leaf blower. I overheard him tell the gentleman that was helping me that they close at 7pm and he just kept blowing debris. I again showed him on Apple Maps that it shows they closed at 8pm and let him know it was the only reason I drove the extended distance to get there. He explained to me that they open at 7:30am, and I told him that I drive at night and use my truck as a source of income and that didn't help me unfortunately. I also told him that I didn't live nearby and wouldn't have come had I known they were closed. I asked the initial guy to ask the manager if I could roll through the carwash because of their incorrect posted times. The carwash bay door was still open, the car wash had full power running to it, all of the lights were on and it wouldn't have been an issue to drive through. While he went to speak to the Manager, I went to use the vacuums since I heard they were still running. One of the vacuum hoses wasn't working and I had to use another by the way. When Abel the Manager came over I respectfully asked him if I could get my Suburban washed and showed him on my phone that Apple Maps shows that they close at 8pm. He didn't care. Horrific customer service and a total lack of care for the customer. This is the worst customer experience I've had in my entire life, and this was my first time there. I've been a District Manager and have ran multiple locations with over 100 employees, and one thing that I did not tolerate was horrible customer service. Customers are everything. The type of customer service I experienced with Abel will cause Shammy's Car Wash to lose new customers and the higher up Managers won't even know about it. This is why I felt it highly necessary to take the time to make it publicly known that that Abel is a horrific manager. Stay far away from this place!
